This course is designed to teach students how to provision SQL Server databases both on premise and in SQL Azure. If students are not interested in Azure, at least 40% of 20765B will not be useful, and what is there is inadequate without the other material in 20764. ISInc will use the SQL Server 2014 administration courseware, the five-day 2014 class, 20462D. It collects all the non-Azure-related material in 20764 and 20765 into one book. The chapter sequence is logical. It covers all the important topics, and it applies perfectly well to SQL Server 2008 R2 through 2016.

About This Course

The primary audience for this course is individuals who administer and maintain SQL Server databases. These individuals perform database administration and maintenance as their primary area of responsibility, or work in environments where databases play a key role in their primary job.

The secondary audience for this course are individuals who develop applications that deliver content from SQL Server databases.


This course requires that you meet the following prerequisites:
• Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and its core functionality.
